Your safety is important to us. Recently, GINGER® discovered that in some instances the glass shade of certain GINGER® light fixture collections was not manufactured to proper specifications, and as a result, it is possible that the shade could separate from the fixture base and fall. This potential problem affects only certain Kubic™, K2™ and Surface™ collection light fixtures. Due to the fact that these units do not meet its high quality standards for its products, GINGER® has determined to conduct a voluntary recall. While the risk of injury is remote, because your safety is our first concern, GINGER voluntarily notified the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") of this problem, and initiated a program to contact customers like you, who may have purchased one or more of the potentially affected light fixtures. In the event that you have remaining inventory of the light fixtures that are subject to this recall, we request that you immediately discontinue all sales of potentially affected units (manufactured from August 2003 through September 2004) and that you contact your GINGER sales representative to arrange for replacement shades.
